MOTAC (Ministry of Transportation and Communication) has announced that from September 3, 2002, residents in the Erbil and Duhok Governorates can receive international calls from abroad. Callers need to dial codes and then the home or mobile phone number as follows:

To Dial a Number in Erbil:        0044 702 860 1000             (after the prompt, dial the home phone number)

To Dial a Mobile (Erbil, Duhok):      0044 702 864    (followed by the last 4 digits of the mobile number)

To Dial a Number in Duhok:     0044 702 860 1000 062      (after the prompt, dial the home phone number)
