KRG Delegation visit to the EU

A Kurdistan Regional Government delegation headed by Prime Minister H.E. Nechirvan Barzani will meet June 5-7, 2001, with Belgium and Netherlands governments to discuss issues pertaining to the present status and future of Iraqi-Kurdistan following 10 years de facto existence.

The delegation includes Hoshyar Zebari, Director of International Relations Bureau of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Dr. Shafiq Qazzaz, Minister of Humanitarian Aid & Cooperation, Safeen Dizayee, KDP representative in Ankara and Burhan Jaf, head of KRG-EU mission in Brussels.

During the visit, the delegation will meet with the Belgium ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Flemish parliament, the Belgium Federal parliament, committee of foreign affairs of the European parliament, the Green/ALE and SPE group of the European parliament.

The delegation will also meet the foreign affairs commission of the Dutch parliament as well as officials at the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
