Iraqi Opposition Meeting Concludes
The Iraqi Opposition groups met 26 February - 1 March, in the town of Salahaddin just 30 kilometers north of Erbil city. The meeting concluded by electing a leadership council of six and 14 specialized committees.  The six members are: Masoud Barzani of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Jalal Talabani of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Mohammad Bakir al-Hakim of the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI), Ahmad Chalabi of the Iraqi National Congress (INC), Ayad Allawi of the Iraqi National Accord (INA) and Adnan Pachachi (an independent Arab Sunni). 

In their final statement, the opposition groups expressed their strong opposition to any military intervention by Turkey or any other regional country.
