The mission of the Ministry of Reconstruction & Development
is to regenerate our rural and semi-urban areas... in a
manner that is culturally compatible, economically productive,
and which protects and enhances our environment.

KRG: 38 million Iraqi dinars for projects; 25 million Iraqi
dinars for admin. (incl. salaries). Oil-for-Food program:
US$60 million.

KRG Rebuilds 65% of Destroyed Villages
In the past 10 years, the KRG, using its own resources together
with support from United Nations and Non-Government Organizations,
has reconstructed more than 65% of what was destroyed by the
Government of Iraq.

(Nahiya), and 1123 villages
Erbil Governorate
Erbil is divided into 6 districts (Qaza'a) (Erbil, Shaqlawa,
Koya, Choman, Mergasoor, Soran) which has 22 subdistricts
(Nahiya), and 1497 villages.
